Dinosaur Jr. play their first of two sold out shows at the Middle East downstairs tonight. Lou Barlow + themissingmen open up both nights.

Finally if you're looking for some quasi-relaxing late night entertainment you can go see the midnight showing of Halloween at the Coolidge Corner tonight. Next Friday they'll be showing Army Of Darkness as part of the same series.
Eight-piece, Elephant Six-affiliated, psychedelic rock ensemble Circulatory System is set to headline the Cambridge Family YMCA Theatre this Monday night. Fresh from their performance at All Tomorrow's Parties NY festival (happening this weekend) and just on the heals of their second record, Signal Morning (released 9/8 via Cloud), the performance and tour will mark another surge in E6 activity following the Holiday Surprise tour this past fall, and the Music Tapes recent tour.

Often compared to the early, experimental recordings of the Beatles and Beach Boys, Circulatory System's haunting distortions and lackadaisical delivery mark a departure from OTC's poppish-sound towards darker, more melody-driven tunes. Opening up will be fellow E6 bands Pipes You See, Pipes You Don't and Nesey Gallons.

Tickets are still on sale for the 185-seat Victorian style theatre.

While today may be a sad day in American history, I'd say it gives us even more of a reason to go out and have a damn good time this weekend and upcoming week. There are a ton of awesome events and new nights starting up so lets dive right in.

Friday September 11
So Dope have been bringing in some big name acts to Rise this year and tonight's guest John Dahlback is no slouch. Saturday September 12
geT righT is a brand new night over at the Goodlife featuring some of the top DJs currently spinning in Boston. Check out Ryan Durkin, DJ On & On, D Money, Just Joan, Texas Mike, and PM Live as they blast party jams, hip hop, and reggae all night. 21+ / Free / 9pm-2am / 28 Kingston Street - Boston, MA

We know, Jamaica Plain may seem far away, but man up, hop on the Orange Line, and head over the Milky Way to hear DJs Knife and Ghostdad destroy the dance floor with b-more and disco at their monthly Shake Em Down party. 21+ / Free / 9pm - 1am / 284 Armory Street - Jamaica Plain, MA

Sunday September 13
If drum and bass is too slow for you, then head over to Church for the massive breakcore event of the year featuring Sickboy, Droon, Dev/Null, So_So Gutter, and Vinyl Blight as they try to make you dance to some 200+bpm tunes. 21+ / $5 / 8pm - 12am / 69 Kilmarnock Street - Boston, MA

Thursday September 17
